1. What inspired you to apply for the CCBR summer internship?
I was inspired to apply for the summer internship after my sister took part in the 2019 summer internship. The following February I joined CCBR on the Abortion Awareness Project and have since been involved locally and wanted to dedicate a summer to working full-time changing hearts and minds on the topic of abortion.
2. What do you hope to get out of this experience?
This summer I am hoping to grow in my empathy and knowledge in communicating well with people who are hurting deeply, especially on the topic of abortion. The time that I have spent doing ‘Choice’ Chain etc. has been life-changing for me and I know that this summer will challenge and grow me as well.

3. What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is reading. While I enjoy doing anything from playing volleyball, to hiking, to playing piano, reading is the hobby that I have dedicated the most of my time to since I first could read and I always come back to a good book in my free time.
4. What’s your most controversial opinion about something mundane?
It has come to my attention that I hold a controversial position on the wearing of socks. I believe that it is absolutely acceptable to wear socks while sleeping and that it is wrong to discriminate against those who enjoy keeping their feet warm during the cooler temperatures of the night.
5. What is your secret talent?
Eating pie while upside down.
